Natsumi likes Sophie-Anne a lot -- she's not really scared of her, because if she wanted to have her for dinner she probably would have, you know, done that by now. But she is really aware that she's older and faster and stronger than her and she should endeavor not to piss her off if she can at all help it. Natsumi isn't really used to having female friends? Growing up she only had one and she knew her comparatively briefly so she's mostly hung out with boys, isn't sure how to be friends with a girl anymore, doesn't really always get that ladyparts can be used as weapons of mass destruction, doesn't know how to use what she has, and it makes her a little at a loss. In that regard she sort of looks up to her because she's all gorgeous and elegant and maybe it will osmote.

Sophie-Anne likes Hardison! She is personally of the opinion that Parker would make a great vampire, and a friend of Parker's is a friend of Sophie-Anne's until someone throws a tantrum so she's like "oh! okay! 8D" and wants him to come over and play Yahtzee and listen to music from the 1890s and pretend to sunbathe and. Stuff. ALSO she thinks having someone so amazing with computers on her side is a good, good thing, and Hardison clearly isn't someone who believes that sass mouthing vampires is a smart idea, so they'll probably get along just fine!

Gosh he thinks Sophie-Anne is great! He was inclined to like her anyway because she's a friend of Parker's, but he thinks Sophie-Anne is nice and charming and isn't likely to try to rip his throat out. AWESOME! Plus she appreciates his computer skills and he loves it when people recognize how great he is. Parker's told him not to talk to her buuut he figures they just fought about Parker taking some of her stuff or something and that it'll blow over. So when it's safe for him to talk to her again he'll be 100% down with playing Yahtzee and just hanging out.

Sophie-Anne feels like ever since November things have been super awkward with Hanna and since she will never apologize for anything, she's just going to pretend like everything is fine! Yay. She still likes Hanna and he is still really fun to play with! But now Elijah is back so Sophie-Anne is like "DAMMIT I'M GOING TO WIN HANNA'S LOVE" just so Elijah and Hanna won't be bros anymore. 8D?! SOUNDS REASONABLE.

Santo really likes Peter!! Kyaaa an actual adult who cares, is this real life? He's cool and gave Santo an awesome present and an offer to help, and that is more than... any adult has given him, basically. SO IT MEANS A LOT.

Brianna thinks Peter is pretty cool. She doesn't really know what's up with him, so she just assumes he's in the FBI too. She likes adults who appreciate her skills and want to teach her things or help her improve, so Peter's offer to teach her to play poker made her like him more, even though she's probably too figety for poker. OVERALL, HE IS COOL.

Peter just loves every mutant and is very impressed by their ability to cope, and admires that they seem to not hate humans, even though humans are complete dicks in their universe. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? Good kids in shitty situations! And Peter is trying to figure out a way to get them out of said shitty situation. HE'S ON IT.

Brianna is amazing. He knows about her mostly from Jack and Lincoln, and knows he's Jack's not!girlfriend and that Lincoln wants to adopt them, so he wants to get to know her better since there's a chance he'll end up being as the bad example uncle. Santo's mom is like super overbearing and he used to be a bit of a mama's boy when he was younger. However, she's also really traditional and since Santo's mutation manifested they haven't really had much of a relationship.

However, he still talks to his younger sister through texts and IMs and stuff.

As well as Murder She Wrote and Medium, he also watches In Plain Sight and old reruns of Unsolved Mysteries.

Sophie-Anne likes Parker a lot! She's not a "normal" human and her reactions to things are more Sophie-Anne's style. Sophie-Anne honestly thinks she would make an awesome vampire. The love goo was really awkward and then she got really pissed off when Parker stole from her, but as long as Parker doesn't do it again, Sophie-Anne will just pretend that nothing happened. Honestly, things about Parker remind Sophie-Anne of herself! ... back in the 1400s or whenever. Orphan solidarity!! So she has a little bit of a soft spot for Parker. Besides, she's hot. \o/

No one wants Parker to be friends with Sophie-Anne so that's like an auto-investigate. She's totally cool with the "ignoring anything happened" approach but she gets annoyed that Sophie-Anne gets snippity about Parker's attitude when Sophie-Anne is an utter queen about everything. AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY, MISSY!! Parker was being honest when she said she couldn't promise she wouldn't steal. She steals and lies and gets fussy compulsively, so she might remember to put something back after she's picked it up or she might not notice she has something until later. C'EST LA VIE DE LA VOLEUSE!! But because she actually does like Sophie-Anne, besides all the uncomfortableness, she's at least going to try to not piss her off.

What does Sophie-Anne think of Hardison and Parker as a ~couple~ (for when they eventually get that far)

HMM. Well, for all of her talk about how ridiculous love and monogamy is, Sophie-Anne is much more okay with both of those things when it's humans who are doing it. So as far as Parker and Hardison are concerned, she's like "oh, that's precious. GOOD THING I'VE EVOLVED BEYOND THAT ohoho." She thinks of those emotions as human emotions (which is why she pretends she can't feel them). If Parker and Hardison were to start a serious thing where they weren't seeing anyone else, Sophie-Anne would be outwardly tolerant - she really does think monogamy is dumb, but believes if people want to limit themselves, whatever - but secretly she'd be kind of "aw *u*" about it.

So what's up with Parker and her three boyfriends lately?

No, though, Parker has decided to be less weird about Hardison. The whole conversation with Sophie where she told her that she decided to let things not be weird for a few days was more Parker being afraid of committing to feeling good than it being a "trial run". She didn't want to declaratively say "i've decided things won't be weird anymore" because then if they WERE weird, or she decided she wasn't ready to be in that place, then that would be a failure! But saying "I've decided to test it for a few days" gives her more protection, and she's all about protection when it comes to feels. But I think they're doing okay.

And I think the dynamics with the other guys is good!! IDK WE HAVEN'T THREADED IN AWHILE i need to grab them for threads.

What would Sophie-Anne do if Hadley showed up?

Force Hadley to move into the barn, make her follow Sophie-Anne around and keep vampire sleeping habits, introduce her to everyone, deny that she has feelings, THE USUAL. Things would be kind of awkward because one of the last things she did before camp was let Eric feed from Hadley until she nearly died, but details, details. REALLY though Sophie-Anne would freak out if Hadley showed up because Sophie-Anne's position in camp is definitely less queenly than it is at home, and it's just embarrassing.

Has Parker considered going anywhere other than Leverage-verse after camp?

Nope. Honestly, she doesn't like anyone so much as to uproot her entirely life into a new world. She likes what she does and she likes the set up she has and the people she works with. There is almost nothing that would make leaving all that behind worth it. She's much rather let someone go and deal with it and move on than change everything. She's very pragmatic.

She'd like to keep in touch with people though, if that were possible.

Does Sophie-Anne ever regret being a vampire?

Yes, sometimes! Back when Sophie-Anne was still human, her entire family (+ most of her town) died, and she was being sold for food by a neighbor when her maker found and "saved" her. Except he also ended up forcing her into prostitution for money and she was with him for like three years before she became a vampire. So at the time she really, really wanted him to turn her in order to gain physical power and have control. SO. At the time, she had nothing to gain as a human girl and nothing to go back to, and she saw all these things her maker could do to people, and who wouldn't want to be a vampire in that situation? But after she was turned, as time passed she realized there were things she could never experience again. Not to mention having people grow old and die around you while you stay the same, which sucks, especially when you dislike most other vampires. So yes, she does feel regret at times.

Overall, though, she still likes the power and control being a vampire grants her. If it were possible, she'd find a way to experience the things she misses from being a human and keep her ~vampire powers~, but obviously that can't be a thing for her.

Why does Parker like hanging out with vampires so much?

I think it's partially the danger aspect. She populates her life with people normally who don't react strongly to what she does, and when you eat people it's harder to judge someone for stealing. Which I think feeds into the other, possibly more important point: they're not normal. They have a different perspective on the world and so does Parker. Not from being a vampire, naturally, but you know. It's just one of those factors. Parker and vampires aren't really in mainstream society, so she identifies there.

Plus, just as much as they could turn on her and attack her at any minute, so too could they attack someone else who was trying to hurt her. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em so to speak.

Why does Sophie-Anne put up with Parker (unless I already asked...)

Well, Sophie-Anne is already more tolerant of humans than a lot of other vampires in her canon. She hangs out with them more than she does other vampires, and at least twelve of them live in her mansion, so part of the reason is that she's just... used to them and the fact that they tend to be less "controlled" emotionally than vampires. She indulges them in sort of the same way some humans do with their pets, so even when they piss her off, it's kind of an "OH YOU SILLY HUMAN I CAN'T STAY MAD AT YOU FOREVER" kind of thing. That being said, Parker isn't a typical human! And that interests Sophie-Anne and makes her feel like they have more in common. Like, despite the fact that they were born centuries apart, they went through similar crap! So there's a feeling of solidarity there. She also feels like Parker has the potential to be really, really loyal and would rather have someone with Parker's talents on her side than not.

So after their last conversation how does Parker feel about what she knows of Sophie-Anne's human life/why she became a vampire? :x

Relationship/first impressions stuff is go!

Brianna liked Roxie! She treated Brianna like she was old enough to have her own feelings about things and actually did try to help her, so. She appreciated it and wants to talk to Roxie again at some point. Roxie just seems like a pretty cool person who doesn't bullshit, and Brianna likes people like that. Also when she figures out Roxie is a ninja she's going to pester her to spar, like, constantly. So there's that.

Roxie would say that she thinks Brianna's pretty okay, and by Roxie standards that means she actually likes her! Especially by her standards for anyone who's under sixteen because she generally hates kids. Admittedly she got a lot more helpful and less chilly after the "there's this girl" stuff because Roxie is super-biased and it gave her something she could actually relate to so she was willing to get more personal about it. But even aside from that Brianna wasn't super-grating about anything and that's impressive because Roxie is... pretty quick to judge.

Okay, I haven't paid attention to X-Men comics in... basically years. Is there anything in particular I should check out?

I'm the absolute worst comics RPer ever because I haven't been keeping up with anything (and apparently the recent stuff is horrible anyway), but New X-Men is good! It starts off very "high schoolers dealing with dumb problems like GHOSTS and the SCHOOL DANCE~" but gets pretty dark after M-Day. I'm personally not a huge fan of the Utopia stuff, which follows after, but some of it is okay. :x

REC SCOTT PILGRIM TO ME. I know the basic premise, but not much else!

Yeah, I've only really read the Weir/DeFilippis stuff and then when it got grim and gritty I bailed to the relatively safe confines of Avengers: the Initiative and now Avengers Academy.

Scott Pilgrim is one of the funniest comics written in the last decade. The dialogue is incredibly sharp, the characters are all wonderful and distinct, if you're pop-culture savvy there's a metric fuckton of neat references, and it all coherently builds to an absolutely fantastic final volume. Like, the actual dramatic plot sort of sneaks up on you but those elements are really well-done. The movie is also really really good even though I don't like how it handled Roxie at all (they cut much of her stuff for time and merge some of her character traits with another character's so she's... kind of a two-dimensional psycho bitch with none of the It's Complicated nature of her relationship with Ramona, though Mae Whitman does a good job adding nuance to her character).

GONE: Lord of the Flies and the X-Men have a baby together and then abandon it.

Haha no seriously GONE is a series of books (four are out so far, the fifth comes out in early April and there will be six in total) about a small California town and the surrounding area where, one day, every single person over the age of 14 disappears into thin air. The kids who are left discover that there is a giant dome surrounding them and that kids and animals are developing crazy powers. THINGS GET WORSE. And worse and worse and worse.

The series has a huge ensemble cast, so there is someone for everyone. I will say that the first book in the series is a good introduction to the setting and story etc etc but the characters don't really start to shine until the second book. But if you're into YA dystopia at all it's definitely worth checking out.

As for movie thoughts, I'm not sure. Personally I think the series would work much better as a TV show. My main beef with the idea of a movie (or movies) is the age of the characters. Like, there's no way to do a movie series without eventually aging the characters up or recasting them, which is stupid! I guess they could do the Last Airbender thing and just stretch the timeline out by a lot, so instead of six books taking place over one year-ish, it'd be six movies taking place over... six years? IDK.

It would be cool to actually get real PBs, though. :|a

I am tentatively optimistic! Like you said, it would probably be better as a TV show, because of the age thing. And lately I've seen so many books-turned-movie that are supposed to be a series but never get past the first movie because of whatever reason, which I would be disappoint about. :( BUT I think it still has a chance, depending on what direction they take it. It's too early to say, for me, but I'm hoping that is MG is working with them that it'll turn out pretty good.

NOT PARTICULARLY. I had someone I was planning on apping a couple months ago but I tried writing the app and really wasn't into it and took it as a sign that I probably wouldn't enjoy playing the character for very long. So no apps for the time being.

As for character plans, I'm excited to canon update Brianna because I'm all self-indulgent like that, but I don't really have any specific plans for anyone. I guess at some point I'll update Sophie-Anne to her death in canon, but I'm not feeling urgent about that, so it'll happen... at some point! La la la.

I have no app plans! I'm overwhelmed by trying to keep up with the ones I have. Sometimes I ponder apps but then realize I love the ones I have too much to app more and take away from the time I play them.

But general plans are things I have, kind of! It's always more of a backburner thing to keep in mind, in case I start getting bored. "This character can do this and it will be lots of fun and I will get back into the swing of it," basically. One day I will probably update Machika to the end of her canon, and I want to throw her out into more silly things with Maka or just like. DOING DUMB THINGS. And just keeping up with her CR in general. ;; Uhhh Leo I will probably do something with this weekend, Kurt is going to do more dumb things with the mutant powerpuff girls at some point and also Scott Summers' wedding, and Jack I am also exciting to canon update. And I want him to do things with zombie hunting but he would need someone to push him into that since he wouldn't much care otherwise.
