Brianna is underfed, all sharp angles and scrawny muscle. She is described as puckish, cute, but also dangerous-looking (I mean, the weapons don't help). Her red hair is usually kept up. She's scarred on her arms and legs from falls and fights. Two scars are more prominent—a faded one under her left eye from a burn, and a six-inch wide circular scar over her heart.

⇝ As a small child, Brianna is left alone and fends for herself often. She's seen in a flashback exploring an abandoned/burnt out restaurant with some neighbor kids at age three.

⇝ Some point before 8th birthday: Mom remarries.

⇝ Age 8: Mom gives birth to Brianna's twin half-sisters.

⇝ Age 9 or 10: Brianna sent to Coates Academy for "bad grades."

⇝ Some point during the summer or early fall, 2008, age 11: Brianna gains her superspeed powers and joins a secret club led by Caine Soren. The kids sneak out at night and practice using their powers, encouraging and helping each other.

⇝ November 10, 2008: At 10:18 AM, every person over the age of 14 in Perdido Beach and the surrounding area disappears instantaneously. All the children left are enclosed in an impenetrable barrier 20 miles across.

⇝ That night, Brianna and several other superpowered kids are beaten and rounded up by Caine Soren and co, forced to encase their hands in cement blocks, and tied up behind the school. They remain there for almost two weeks and are starving to death by the time they are rescused by Sam's group. Brianna joins up with Sam immediately.

⇝ Late November: The Thanksgiving Battle, followed by the Thanksgiving feast.

⇝ December 2008: 12th birthday.

⇝ February 2009: Brianna races a bullet; Brianna flirts with Computer Jack; tensions between mutants and non-mutants begin to rise; Brianna attempts to fly while infiltrating the power plant and gets stuck on the roof, injured; Brianna severs Drake's whip arm and saves Sam via first aid, but comes in contact with radiation; Brianna collects Duck and brings him to the mine shaft before collapsing; Brianna cured by Lana.

⇝ Summer 2009: Brianna "dating" Computer Jack; he moves into her house; Brianna contracts the flu and is wiped out for much of the climax; recovers in time to help save the prees when Mary leads them off the cliff.

⇝ Fall 2009: Brianna truly embraces her role as child soldier, collects weapons and patrols; Brianna fights Drake in the church and is shot; Brianna fights the mutant bugs alongside Caine Soren; Dekka, greivously injured, tells Brianna she loves her; Brianna is one of 82 kids who relocate to Lake Tramonto and encourages others to follow.

⇝ December 2010: Brianna turns 13.

⇝ January 2010: Brianna has been avoiding Dekka for months, still fooling around with Jack; Brianna helps Sam get rid of missiles in the desert; the dome begins to turn black, blocking out the sun; Brianna ditches lookout duty to fight Drake; Dekka confronts Brianna and Brianna finally admits she doesn't know whether she likes girls or boys; Brianna rescues Justin at the mine shaft and delivers Diana's baby but is brainwashed into giving the baby to the gaiaphage; the military shoots a nuke at the dome and it turns transparent.

⇝ January/February 2010: Brianna gives interviews at the dome, as well as information to desperate parents; Brianna fights Drake and scatters pieces of him across the desert but keeps his head in a bag; when Gaia attacks the lake settlement, Brianna fights her but is badly injured; before she is fully healed, she goes back into battle, but a series of mistakes and bad luck leads to her death at Gaia's hands.

personality

Brianna is tenacious and eager to prove herself. She does things that would make most adults hesitate. She can be violent and quick to anger, but has a soft spot for little kids and a good sense of humor. If it weren't for her ultimate desire to do good and be a hero, she would be a formidable villain. She can be selfish and oblivious and impulsive, and comes across as very cocky and full of herself. She thinks of her brain as not being wired in the same way as other people's, since she doesn't fear the same things most people do.

Underneath the bravado, Brianna has severe abandonment issues. She is wrapped up in her powers to an alarming degree, and believes that without them, she's worthless as a person. Her greatest fear is being nothing, being unimportant. She has PTSD and issues surrounding food after being forcefully starved. Emotions are scary and embarrassing to her.

⇝ Super speed: the ability to move at roughly the speed of sound. Brianna is a pretty fragile speedster, however: long distances wipe her out, she breaks bones easily, and she tends to suffer from intense hunger and thirst after using her powers for very long. Illness also tends to wipe her out more intensely than it would a normal person.

⇝ Enhanced dexterity and ability to perform acrobatics.

⇝ She's self-trained to use guns and blades, as well as other weapons.
