Hunter and Breeze's impressions on Castiel so far?

Hunter: Thinks Castiel is cool?! He appreciates that Castiel healed him up after his update and that he's offered to help Jade (and Hunter too, by extension). He doesn't know a whole lot about Castiel, though, and isn't really religious or anything so he's just kind of like "WOW." Camp sure is crazy. So he's not 100% on board with the whole thing, but he's getting there.

Breeze: ISSSS MOSTLY EMBARRASSED because she hates being vulnerable, and you don't get more vulnerable than being dead! So the fact that Castiel was there and witnessed it makes her kind of uncomfortable. But aside from that, she thinks he's potentially okay. She's not really into trusting adults, but he seems… nice? Just slightly weird! So whenever she sees him now she's going to go out of her way to seem capable and awesome, to make up for the time he saw her being dead and less awesome. :T

Castiel doesn't have a huge opinion on Hunter just yet. The thing is that because he feels like he doesn't have a whole lot to do in Camp, he's been trying to make up for that gap by helping people. But it's frustrating, because he can really only make guesses. Both Jade and Hunter seem like good kids to him, though, and since Vanille is the one who told him about them in the first place, he's dedicated to doing what he can for them.

As for Breeze, he also feels a little bit protective toward her. Vanya is a close friend to him, so Brianna becomes someone he wants to keep an eye on because of that. He's worried that he made some kind of mistake by taking her to the morgue, which is partly why he decided to check on her after the fact, but yeah. She seems interesting enough and he'd like to get to know her better.

BREEZE & TAKERU 8D

Breeze is, hmm. She loves Takeru a lot. He's like a big brother to her. He was literally one of the very first people she met in Camp, so she feels like she can trust him. She's gone through a kind of weird time in CFUD where she started out being pretty affectionate with people, but then that level of being affectionate went wayyy down after updates and whatnot. She knows they don't usually talk about ~feelings~ and stuff, because they both suck at it, but he's still one of the people in Camp she's cool giving hugs to, which says a lot. :x

Takeru adores & loves Brianna so so much. She's like a little sister to him. & he knows she can take care of herself too, but he worries a lot for her even if he doesn't show it. He's not good with feelings, yes. But he tries to check in on her & makes sure she is okay when he can & he thinks she is a super tough, super strong girl. Especially for her age. But he respects her & he knows how important those hugs are & cherishes each & every one she gives him.

Jiu Wu is like a potential big brother to Breeze. She likes his attitude and the way things don't seem to bother him, because nothing's worse than feelings, amirite? He's pretty cool! Also he wanted to take her on a food date, adorable. It takes Breeze a while to trust people, but she does like him, so there's potential there! Unfortunately, the fact that they're both pretty "meh, whatever! 8D" about things means that she's less likely to talk seriously with him, because she feels like she can derail things pretty easily if she wants to.

THE FEELS ARE MUTUAL because cute little sis and he really doesn't expect anyone to trust him so quickly and not hating him is a good enough start! Part of the reason he likes her is because she gives him the opportunity to act his age, instead of ALL THE RESPONSIBILITY EVER of someone three times his age. MORE THINGS CAN HAPPEN yes. Bonding! So! Hunter really likes Jennifer a lot! The whole thing is very weird to him, because she's not really someone he expected to be friends with, much less like as much as he does. SOMEHOW, IT HAPPENED. And he's glad! He does have a really obvious crush on her, but he's actually okay with not doing the boyfriend-girlfriend thing? A lot of his awkwardness was because he wasn't sure what she wanted and needed it spelled out for him, because he's a dumb teenage boy who has like, zero experience with girls. There are still times he thinks she's just messing with him, and whenever Santana talks to him those feelings come back, but he's trying to be cool and not make it a big deal. TRYING. 8|

Jennifer really does like Hunter, and considers him a friend. She isn’t lying about any of that stuff! She thinks he’s cute, both in a boyish way and a “haha you fail at girls” way, and also thinks the giant geekery he’s clearly into is really funny—the teasing about it isn’t meant maliciously at all. She has a lot of affection for his general type, and has a history with enjoying the company of nerds, so it’s not surprising to her that they get along, despite any and all contempt she pretends to have for that kind of thing. In that regard, she considers Hunter a bit of a “safety” option.

Beyond that, is very comfortable around teenage boys specifically because she knows she can basically get her way around them. This isn’t to say that she’s angling for the FWB thing in order to manipulate him—because she isn’t, and doesn’t think he really has anything of much value to manipulate him for—but if it ever came down to it, she wouldn’t be opposed to using any of her feminine wiles to get him on her side. And also she just really likes feeling wanted and beautiful, which is something she hasn’t gotten a lot of recently, even in her semi-recent for-real relationship-relationships. Hanging around Hunter is an easy way for her to (temporarily) stop a lot of her routine self-loathing, which is why she usually turns the conversation into some sort of innuendo or sexual teasing.

As for her SECRET, she’s not going to be letting him in on it anytime soon. She isn’t particularly worried about people knowing what she is, in terms of just being a demon. There are plenty of those around camp. The problem is the specifics. No one wants to be friends with a man-eating cannibal that feeds on fear and panic, so she knows to keep her mouth shut. It would be a lot easier for her to spin it if she were still keeping to her special no-person diet, but she’s recently had a relapse and vored someone, so there’s no real way for her to get around the, uh… serial killer rep she carries around.

And also she knows who Hunter is friends with. And who those friends are friends with. So she’s being really careful about it all and is ready to deflect all questions until someone else tells Hunter and forces her out of the evil closet. The desperate-for-affection lonely, part of her probably couldn't take another person deciding to break things off with her, so she's on full alert.

HUNTER LOVES HANNA, he is like… the cool older cousin who is more like a friend. Hanna is like his favorite person ever. BUT there have been THINGS!! Like the October 1st shenanigans where Hanna was injured and has skin stapled together all over his chest and a drawer full of painkillers that don't have his name on them! Hunter is very "uh" about that whole thing, but he doesn't want to pry, because… Hanna has things under control! He surely must have a good reason for all… of… that… 8|

Then came Hunter's update and Hanna's advice to him, which just confused Hunter more, because… maybe Hanna doesn't have things under control? Maybe Hunter should be trying to help him instead of just being a useless dumbass? There are all kinds of bad feelings, especially if Hanna's sick or something, because of what happened to Hunter's mom. And he's just kind of dealing with everything the way he normally does, by immersing himself in comics and movies and just not dealing with it. So, yeah, let's have a movie marathon! Let's just watch movies for the rest of forever. Let's plan a dumb party! Let's do anything but not talk about this stuff.

OH AND JENNIFER. Hunter is so confused by all the Jennifer awkwardness. At first he thought that Hanna had a thing for Jennifer and that he had accidentally violated a bro code, but that seems to not really be the case?! He's just so confused. Both Hanna and Wendy have been like "Wait, Jennifer? … Okay, have fun! /nervous laugh" so he's just like… okay, people not telling me things again! Great. Maybe someday someone will tell him something.

HUNTER IS THE BEST it's nice to have a normal-ish dudebro to hang out and do dumb boy things with!! It reminds him of when he was in high school and had friends and no worries and Hunter thinks he's actually cool and IT'S AWESOME, he's a great kid and they get along super well and it gives him warm fuzzies. Except for where Hunter reminds Hanna of himself a lot and that's the opposite of a good thing! Vague but horrible Traumatic Things (parents died? maybe were murdered? possibly came back as ghosts??) happened to Hanna when he was Hunter's age, and he dealt with them by shutting down completely and then just deciding to ignore his problems forever and he's realizing that all that's made him messed up in terms of... emotional things!! And friendships!! And honesty! AND that's the last thing he wants for Hunter. 8( Also because of Traumatic Things Hanna got involved in the whole runes thing and shady business and possibly also chest things (but who knows, not me, thanks canon!!)

ANYWAY IT IS ALL VERY COMPLICATED because he wants Hunter to be happy and have an awesome life! So he wants to help with everything ever, but even though he can relate to Hunter on multiple levels, especially the dead mom thing, it's something he's pretty much totally unwilling and incapable of talking about so oops

So he's worried Hunter isn't coping as well as he seems to be but his plan is to just be there for him all the time and if he has some kind of nuclear meltdown THAT'S WHAT BROS ARE FOR.

Also also Hanna is fine with Jennifer + Hunter doing things because GET IT, HUNTER but he just has a really hard time understanding... Jennifer in general. September: Breeze is seriously not sure what to think about him. I DON'T THINK SHE EVEN KNOWS HE'S FROM THE SAME WORLD AS PETER, LINCOLN AND OLIVIA. So when he started talking about Olivia, it was a complete surprise. But she really appreciated him letting her know that Olivia still remembered her, even if she has no idea why he brought it up. Overall, she thinks he's pretty weird, but he's also… interesting? So she's kind of intrigued.

Tobias: Tobias is interesting. Breeze doesn't realize he was a human originally, so she thinks she's talking to a legit bird who was given powers! But tbh, if/when she finds out he was originally human, she'll only be more interested in him, because that sounds like a mutation to her, and it means they have something in common. Besides horrible, horrible worlds. /o\ BUT ANYWAY she enjoys talking to him even though he's kinda serious for her tastes.

Hunter liked Mikoto from the start, but at first he was kind of awkward around her because she seemed to be more Jade's friend than his? Hunter and Jade are so different that part of him felt like they shouldn't be making the same friends, in a weird high school-y way. But now that he's talked to Mikoto more, he really just likes talking to her. She's straightforward and doesn't take crap! He likes that. He's becoming more comfortable around her. Pffhaha, that's actually kind of funny, since if anything Mikoto's probably more like Hunter than she is Jade (I mean obviously she's pretty different from Jade but you... get my point...), and is even a closet nerd (and obsessive collector) herself. While she'd likely never admit that aloud she at least gets Hunter's nerdy things too. BUT THAT ASIDE, Hunter is a cool guy in her book. At first he was just "that guy who's friends with Jade" (innn a way he still kind of is, since they haven't talked nearly as much yet), but likewise, she actually does like talking with him now. Though sometimes he does kind of strike her as a little too apologetic and timid as opposed to how she thinks guys are supposed to act like (her perceptions are probably a little skewed from... not having any guy friends back home, save for like Touma who is a weird case anyway), so while it doesn't annoy her sometimes Mikoto wants to be like jeez toughen up bro. She can be a really frank and uh, tactless person here and there but most people just roll with it, so when Hunter apologizes or seems off-put she's just like ugh come on just deal with it!! Hunter: Thought Ramona was cool! Any friend of Hanna's is a friend of his, pretty much, and hey, they managed to get over the awkwardness of meeting over static-y underwear. FTR he's totally read Scott Pilgrim, though. /o\ PREPARE YOURSELF.

Breeze: THINKS RAMONA IS THE COOLEST, obviously. Breeze has been trying really hard lately to be more normal and teenagery, and she's kind of using Ramona as a role model, with the hair dyeing and general advice stuff. When Ramona was like, "I don't like to talk about this dating stuff," Breeze assumed she meant… "WITH YOU, because you are a kid." Because to her, Ramona seems so together and normal and awesome! So Breeze is trying to seem mature and cool so that Ramona will want to hang out with her and talk to her more. We don't have to talk about my confusing 13 year old dating feels, really! Breeze really has no idea how "normal" relationships are supposed to go, because in the FAYZ everything is weird, so she likes just hanging out with Ramona and listening to her talk about things and being able to be like, "I SEE. THIS IS WHAT NORMAL PEOPLE DO."

Also, she's worried that Ramona will like Vanya more, because Vanya is nice and shy and Breeze is basically terrible and bratty. SHE KNOWS HOW THAT GOES. '-' noooo don't dye Vanya's hair, only mine!!!

Hunter: Ramona thought he was a nice, if not dorky kid, but...hey, he's Canadian she's used to dorky Canadians. He seemed chill and she knows Hanna adores him so he must be pretty nice because Hanna's a good judge of character! Except when he isn't like with Jennifer :| But Hunter seems good people, she'd totally chat with him again and probably thank him for the party attempts if/when she and Wendy do something ridiculous in crashing it.

Breeze: Brianna has leveled up considerably in Ramona's social links in the past couple of months largely because Ramona has taken into account Brianna's life dealings are fraught with TERRIBLE CHOICES AND TERRIBLE THINGS. Whereas before it was like "noooo don't ask me how you decide you like girls, that is a story that involves drunken debauchery and also a person who is here to refute things in the 'it's complicated' mess" to knowing more about where Brianna's come from and how maybe Ramona's bad life choices are actually a thing she'd need warning against repeating.

Like, now she knows that she had a messy friends with benefits + one-sided feelings!!1! thing with Jack and...welp, she was totally stringing guys along around that age. At least Jack handled it better by breaking it off first instead of letting it fester then joining some League of Evil Exes. And then there was the time when Vanya mentioned how Breeze got herself killed for an experiment, which is reckless and stupid but also she could see why she'd do it? In the dumb bored teenager way. And when Vanya said her reaction to their fight was running away it was...ha ha hahahaha ha. So when she tried to talk to Brianna it wasn't even about chastising her over the getting herself killed thing, it was making sure she and Vanya could fix their friendship because she figured that would be the thing that hurt Brianna the most.

So basically she sees Brianna as some bravado filled tough guy who's been doing pretty well at the whole "HA FEELINGS THOSE ARE FOR BABIES" and sees how that's difficult to broach because oh god Ramona is still awful at actually dealing with feelings, but even if she's hyper-defensive about showing some of them she at least recognizes them as objectively decent things to have if, y'know, you don't suck at all human emotions ever like she does. So that hug was totally not demeaning you and didn't have to be affectionate if you didn't want it to be, dude, but being trapped and starving sucks and we can agree on that like mutual badasses. And she knows that when Brianna chooses to be she is a really cool kid! Like, aw, you threatened to confront a supervillain over my girlfriend being insane, that is so awesome. Anyone who can get Roxie to like them is very impressive anyway.

So! Yeah, basically Breeze is someone Ramona is more okay with talking to stuff about, not because kid vs. adult thing, but more of a moral paragon vs. not entirely good person thing. Which is why she likes Breeze more than Vanya because Vanya is a nice kid! And...that's nice? Ramona likes Vanya okay and is fine with doing stuff with her and trying to mend her friendship with Brianna, but she really emotionally gets Brianna more and would admit things to her she never would Vanya because Breeze is more of an equal...partially by being lower on the scale of human niceness, partially by being that kind of person who hears about evil megalomaniacs and goes "what a jerkoff." On the other hand, she doesn't notice if Breeze is modeling after her because NO!! HAVEN'T I EXPLAINED I AM THE WORST ROLE MODEL?! sob

And currently she thinks Brianna's upset mostly because she's been distant due to the whole evil girlfriend thing and butting her nose into whatever complications she may be doing with regards to the Breeze-Vanya friendship. Wendy: Hunter thinks Wendy is the coolest always. He really appreciates that she hasn't been trying to force information out of him since his update, since Hunter's main coping mechanism is to… watch movies and read comics and not think about stuff. Which, he knows, isn't Wendy's intent, but it's still nice that he can get away with it for now. His feelings toward her have definitely stopped being so much "oh wow a beautiful girl is talking to me, what is happening" so while he still thinks she's beautiful it's definitely less of a crush and more of a normal friendship at this point. WATCH GHOSTBUSTERS WITH ME FOREVER, WENDY.

Mindy: OKAY SO… Breeze likes Mindy and doesn't really know what to do about it? '-' She considers Mindy to be her best friend really likes hanging out with her and killing stuff or watching movies or whatever, so she doesn't want to ruin everything and lose the person she does all that stuff with. At this point she's identified and accepted the fact that she likes Mindy, but she still… doesn't like that she likes her, for a few different reasons. The most obvious is that Mindy is a girl, but there's also the fact that Breeze just gets really freaked out by having feelings. /o\ But now that Vanya knows, she's kind of resigned to the fact that she'll have to say something sooner or later, because as far as she's concerned it's only a matter of time before Vanya says something accidentally. She keeps putting it off because, aside from the other things I just mentioned, Breeze doesn't really… know how to tell someone she likes them, or what to do after that. 8| Kids in the FAYZ do relationships in a weird, intense way where they will move in together and then just start living like they're married, pretty much! She and Jack did the 12 year old version of it, and there was no confession or "let's dating!" or anything, they just… did it. And in camp, Breeze is like, "Oh, normal people don't do that!" but she doesn't really know anything else, even though she pretends she does.

SO TL;DR she's waiting for a "good time" to say something, but it's Breeze, so hahahaha.

Brianna has been kind of awkward with Jack lately, because she's in the process of trying to make their relationship more sibling-like? She's always going to have a bond with him because, hey, they're the only two kids in camp who really know the FAYZ and who've gone through what they have. So there's a closeness there that she likes, especially because she's not so great at close friendships. So most of the time she's like, we're not dating and that's fine with me! But since she's herself, she has a tendency to revert back to things like letting him hold her hand and stuff when she thinks it will make her look good or feel better about herself. And she also doesn't want him to find out about her liking other people, because she likes having him as a backup. WHICH IS HORRIBLE. But yes. She offered to try to help, but Ramona told her not to get involved, so she's listening for once and not doing anything stupid.

Aside from that whole deal, Breeze still thinks Roxie is still the coolest. '3' She feels kind of bad for dumping all those problems on Roxie during the card event, but she'll just… TRY TO ACT SUPER COOL so that Roxie won't get sick of her. Roxie thinks Breeze is a really good kid! Or, good in the sense that she likes her and is cool being around her, not maybe 100% morally good. But that's cool too because saccharine people weird Roxie the fuck out. She'd much sooner hang out with and talk to a kid like Breeze who does dumb shit like get shot to see what it's like because... well, Roxie can judge that as dumb but she's also like "... yeah I get the thought process that goes into why that would happen."

The card event sucked and therapy sucked but Breeze's one was probably by far the most fine? Because the difference between Breeze and nearly everyone else who took her up on the offer is that Roxie already likes Breeze and is willing to listen to her problems as long as she's not listening to them all the time or something. Deep down in a place that she knows exists but grumbles about and would almost never admit to, Roxie really does like helping people she cares about and knowing that what she said and/or did matters. But like Ramona, Roxie probably wouldn't catch on to the secret role model thing because "wtf why would anyone look at me as a role model, I'm kind of a gigantic fuck-up."

Also, Breeze gets extra immunity from the therapy too because of the soda thing. That was cool.

Ronan: Hunter thinks Ronan is really cool! Hunter feels a little out of his depth with Ronan, just because Ronan seems to be so... together. And really, really smart and witty, whereas Hunter is kind of awkward and dorky. BUT Hunter likes him and would like to hang out with him more. He has no idea that anything is up with Ronan and Jade but if he did know, he'd be happy for them, even if it's just a casual not serious flirting thing, because Jade needs someone like that in his opinion. So yes, Ronan is cool in Hunter's book. ALSO I've been literally the worst at keeping their threads going and it's totally my fault, but I want them to thread more.

Julian: Breeze feels bad, deep down, about what happened between her and Julian. She wishes it could have gone differently, but at the time she felt like she had been lied to and even though she doesn't want to admit it, she can't help but feel parallels between Julian and Caine. Like, she knows Julian is a good person and would never do the shit Caine did, but... She used to be in Caine's group, and Caine lied to her. And even though she's the Breeze and she's awesome and not scared of anything, getting your hands trapped in a cinderblock and left to starve kind of leaves a lasting impression on someone. So she's pretty :\ about the fact that Julian omitted information when he invited her to go back to Marvelverse.

But, anyway, she can't say any of that to Julian because Breeze doesn't do feelings, so she just treats him like a dick that she doesn't care about, and he treats her like a brat he doesn't care about, and that's that.

Breeze pretty much adores Magneto, and she wasn't kidding when she said he's like a dad to her. He's probably more like a dad than her actual dad ever was, so she's pretty attached to him, although she'd deny that being the case because feelings and attachment are for losers. I guess she feels like they've gone through a lot of the same shit, even though Magneto had it worse, so she feels like they're connected in a way that other people aren't, even other mutants. :<

When they first met, she was younger and more likely to buy into his, uh, ideals re: human and mutant relations, but lately she's been trying to distance herself from that a little bit for teenage dumb feelings reasons, but also because Breeze doesn't really have a reason to hate all non-mutants. In the FAYZ there was a definite period of anti-mutant sentiment and even a hate group that ended up killing a bunch of kids in an effort to get rid of the mutants, but a lot of the really terrible shit that's happened to Breeze has been because of… other mutants. So she's of the opinion that each can be as bad as the other.

BASICALLY, THOUGH, she loves Magneto a lot and wants him to be proud of her the way he'd be proud of one of his kids!! RIGHT BACK ATCHA, KID. Erik loves Breeze a lot. He definitely feels that same connection, and he really hates that they don't come from the same world. They're similar enough that they both feel the responsibility to their own worlds to go back and take care of shit and he definitely recognises that and respects it and wouldn't try to stop her. Though before they had that conversation, when she wasn't sure she would go back, he was eventually going to ask her to come back with him. He figured it would be shitty for her either way, being a mutant and all, but at least she'd be with him.

There's certainly a father-daughter thing. He's met his real daughter and was kind of immediately taken with her. And he cares about Vanya and certainly has a parental sort of role in her life, they can relate to each other's experiences (arguably more than he can with Breeze). But Erik values honesty, and while he always aims to be as truthful as possible (often more than people would like), it's easy with Breeze. He doesn't have to explain himself to her, and that's significant in general, but specifically in camp because all of the mutants here are ultimately Charles's, not his.

I NEED TO TAG YOU BACK to see how that will go, but I think I can safely say that Erik will be kind of an asshole about it. BECAUSE HE WOULDN'T BE MAGNETO WITHOUT SOME FAIL!PARENTING. sob. ;o;
